Exactly 135 days following Russell Martin's initial media briefing as the club's head coach, successor Danny Rohl faced reporters at Ibrox for the first time.

The scale of the task ahead of him is widely recognized, considering his predecessor's turbulent and unsuccessful 123-day tenure.

The ex- Wednesday boss was accompanied by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned duo of sporting director Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

But what precisely did we learn from the 36-year-old coach's first public appearance as the club's manager?

Rohl's Primary Focus - Winning Comes First

One thing came through loud and clear from Rohl's initial presentation before the Scottish media - he recognizes the necessity to secure victories, and achieve this rapidly.

His predecessor Russell Martin managed just 17 matches and four months in charge, so the inquiry emerged about how long the new man thinks is realistic to transform the underperforming team.

Although deftly avoiding a direct answer that could bring later expectations, Rohl's message was quite clear.

"With hope as soon as possible," he said. "This is essential.
"In football you have not much opportunity. You can discuss future plans but we know it's about the short-term and that period involves securing victories. That is what I demand.
"One thing remains clear - I need every squad member to comprehend how we want to perform. I come back to my primary theme: victory comes first, it's attractive and it's together. By following this order, I'm convinced that I will remain for years at the club."

Pressure is Standard

Martin required a police escort to leave the stadium after his final match as manager.

We've witnessed how hostile situations can become at football clubs when performances are poor. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular aspect of the matchday experience on both sides of Glasgow these days.

As Rangers' youngest ever head coach, the inquiry was posed about what qualities the coach thinks he has that would enable him to cope, let alone thrive, in among the highest-pressure roles in UK soccer?

"In my opinion pressure in this business are standard," he stated. "One needs to understand that rapidly.
"I believe certain individuals could reference my age but I have been a decade and a half on this path. I had an excellent opportunity to work with the German club and serve as just the assistant coach, but I felt the reality to manage a team and the demands involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people claim you need to produce entertaining football. That becomes the phase but that's exactly what I want. I enjoy that challenge and I'm excited for the future."

Thelwell Defends Chermiti Signing & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had numerous inquiries from journalists for Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the appointment of Robbie Thelwell as recruitment chief, with fans unconvinced about his qualifications for the position.

Nevertheless, he justified and clarified the decision to bring his son to Ibrox.

"It remains uncomfortable to listen and in appearance I think we all agreed when we made this step to hire him that he would be viewed negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of circumstances is that we aim to attract the very best players here.
"My perspective on his professional path and situation is he required no my assistance in soccer.
"He's worked at Villa as head scout, after which he joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, multiple Premier League clubs sought to sign him. Our approach right at the beginning of proceedings was consult with Patrick, the chairman and deputy chairman Paraag Marathe about this situation.
"I was highly transparent and I believe he likely underwent a more rigorous process than any other employee by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he will work 25/8 to be successful for this football club and I anticipate seeing him proving that he's going to be a valuable staff member for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of forward Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at the club for an alleged initial fee of £8m, having failed to score in 24 games for his previous club.

The sporting director who transferred the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting - again for large funds in a fifteen million pound transfer.

He was asked if he stands by his multi-million pound purchase, who hasn't yet register in seven matches for Rangers.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell answered. "I believe Youssef Chermiti is a player who's got great ability.
"I've never questioned him whatsoever. Again, I think Danny will assist in maximize the potential out of Youssef.
"It's very early days for him, he remains young talent and of course with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"However, I'm convinced throughout of his time here he'll demonstrate that he's a highly capable player."

The CEO Understands Fan Frustration and Hurt

Stewart was also in the media scrutiny, considering the vitriol that has been aimed at him by certain club own supporters.

There was even a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last tie with United inviting Stewart - and Thelwell - to depart before they were packed for them.

Like his football director, the CEO did not avoid the issue.

"I totally understand the frustration and anger that the supporters are experiencing because results this season haven't been good enough and nobody's happy with them," he stated.
"The hurt and disappointment they feel is matched inside the boardroom.
"Also understand that there has to be a channel for that dissatisfaction and in my role, that's me.
"I serve as focal point for such issues and my responsibility as a
